Humbert is an Ikerbasque Research Professor at The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry (2005, with an award) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Humbert is an expert in cheminformatics and bioinformatics, with over ten years of experience as a lecturer, researcher, editor, and chairperson of scientific conferences. His research interests: Perturbation-Theory Machine Learning (PTML) Predictive Algorithms for Cheminformatics, Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Neurosciences, Nanotechnology, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Systems Biology, Complex Networks. The Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, Ministry of Economy, the Basque Government, European Commission, and industrial partners fund his research. Humbert has published >200 JCR Papers in the established scientific journals, e.g. of the American Chemical Society group, many of them with awards. He has supervised >10 PhD Theses, co-authored two patents, and >10 scientific software. He is a council member of the Gadea Science Foundation.
