Artur Escalada is a CSIC staff scientist and a Facility Head of the Advanced Light Microscopy facility (BRALM). He holds a Degree in Physics and a PhD from the University of Barcelona. Artur was a Juan de La Cierva postdoctoral fellow at the University of A Coruña before joining CSIC and the Biofisika (IBF). Artur is an expert in biophysical methods ranging from channel electrophysiology to various fluorescence techniques to study the molecular dynamics in cells and lipid vesicles. Being a Head of the Advanced Light Microscopy facility and one of the contact points for Euro-bioimaging Node in Spain, Artur commits to providing access, services, and training of the research personnel to a broad range of state-of-the-art biophysical imaging and spectroscopical technologies.
