The Advanced Light Microscopy Node Bilbao to join Euro-Bioimaging

The Bilbao Advanced Light Microscopy Node (ALM@BIO) a joint initiative of the imaging platforms of the Instituto Biofisika (CSIC, UPV/EHU) and Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, will join the Euro-Bioimaging ERIC network after the addition of Spain and Belgium as its newest member countries. Both countries membership requests were approved by the Euro-Bioimaging Board on December 13, 2023.

The Bilbao Node is focused on quantitative imaging of cellular events such as molecular interactions and biophysical studies like lipid-mediated protein interactions or lipid-order imaging of model membranes and cells; and on the neurobiology of neuron-glia interactions.

This join will promote the biological and biomedical imaging capabilities within the networks of this European organization, integrating the expertise of the new members into the Euro-Bioimaging community, enhancing the collaborative research and providing opportunities to advance scientific discoveries.
