Short bio
PhD in Biochemistry (2013) from the University of the Basque Country, Noemi Jiménez Rojo is an Ikerbasque Research Fellow at the Department of Biochemistry, UPV/EHU. Her research line is focused in Lipidomics in cell biology, understanding lipid diversity and uncovering new lipid functions in cells. Noemi got the Darlene Salomon Award 2021 (Females in Mass Spectrometry & Agilent), a Maria Zambrano Research Fellowship, a Postdoctoral fellowship from the Basque Government and a Predoctoral Fellowship from the Basque Government. Before join IBF, she gain research experience at University of Geneva (Switzerland), Stonybrook Cancer Center (USA) and Institute of Protein Biochemistry (Italy).
